Have you ever owned a piece of clothing that you just loved to wear only to find that the store no longer carried that brand?. Well ladies, there is a way to track down that item and the store that sells it.
On every piece of clothing is a tag that tells you the fabric content, the size, style and most important a RN number. This RN number is also known as a registered number and every manufacturer must have one thanks to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission. With a little detective work you can find the article of clothing provided the company is still in business.
If you can still read the RN number on the tag, just go into the FTC’s database on the internet, key in the number and you will find the manufacturer or the retailer of the item.
Just for fun, pick an article of your clothing and track it by the information on the label. See if you can find it. Happy hunting.
